This section contains chiefly correspondence between Louise Swanton Belloc and her close friend Adelaide de Montgolfier. Letters between Adelaide and other correspondents, which were presumably acquired by Louise after Adelaide's death, are also included here. The section is arranged broadly chronologically and includes a substantial cache of letters written to Louise by Adelaide from Paris during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71 and the Siege of Paris.

Some are addressed to 19 Passage du Commerce, Paris, one to La Celle St Cloud. They talk, inter alia, of M et Mme Belloc [Louise Swanton Belloc and Jean Hilaire Belloc].
